Info Northeast’s latest Unique Boutique, isn’t exactly a boutique. But Davis Jewelers in Grayling isn’t an ordinary jewelry store either. Sure, walk into Davis Jewelers and you will find your exquisite jewelry in a stunning selection. But you’ll also find hand-crafted merchandise including wood sculptures, knives, purses, handbags and wallets. Pablo, the featured sculptor, is a second generation wood carver from Ecuador specializing in human forms. The knife blades are made out of Damascus steel and the leather accessories come from Indiana. Davis Jeweler’s is located at 235 E. Michigan, in downtown Grayling.

JDAP Company offers a wide variety of merchandise and can be located in Downtown Grayling

 

Located in Downtown Grayling, next to Northern Care Medical Walk-in Clinic, JDAP is a store that shouldn’t be passed by. Not only is it just a gift shop with an ever changing inventory, it’s also home of Grayling’s JC Penney catalog store and a tuxedo rental.  JDAP specializes in Woodwick candles, Yankee candles and Tervis tumblers but the store’s merchandise doesn’t stop there. It also has jewelry, home dècor, a small selecion of books along with other miscellaneous items. And not only is JDAP a great place to shop, co-owner Jamie Greer, is always up for a friendly conversation.

Despite the well organized crowd, Hill claims she has room for more and is always looking for new vendors. Located on West Houghton Lake Drive next to Family Video, Morning Glory Mercantile is a great shop to find gifts, home décor or, in this autumn time of year, to buy some time while waiting for hunters to return home.

There couldn’t be a more appropriate name for Girl Frenzy, the Oscoda petite boutique owned by Debbie Myles. If the name doesn’t give it away, the bright pink awnings announce loudly and clearly that Girl Frenzy is stocked full of items for girls of all ages. From Chamilia bracelets and charms, to purses and plush toys, Girl Frenzy carries items for everyone from daughters to grandmothers. Located on the south end of Oscoda, across from National City bank and beneath Myles Insurance, the seemingly small store has a deceivingly large amount of merchandise.
